Avoiding Merges
For this post, we were supposed to find a picture that DOES have merges and post that. This picture has some peoples faces and body parts cut off of the frame.
Framing
In this photo, the bottom of the sky line of the city is acting as a "frame" for the picture. This photo, however does cut out some of the buildings, which I would crop out to make the frame complete.
Balance
Lines
This one is simple, the entire photo consists of either lines or the dense smoke in front of the lines. The lines are going in a direction which points you towards the smoke, which isn't too distracting.
Simplicity
in this picture, even with all the lines in the background, your eyes still focus on the man falling. i could have put this pic in the lines rule, but i felt the background had little effect on the picture, and we still were focused of the simplicity of it, the falling man.

Day One Photos
I like these pictures because of the focus, especially the top one, where the flower is in focus but the background is blurry. Those are my favorite types of pics. i like the bottom one too because it is mirrored, the only thing I wish I could fix is the lighting, I would make it darker and have the light upstairs not bright.
